Once upon a time there was a girl called Ruby. It was nearly her birthday. She was keen on getting her presents.On the day of her birthday she asked her Mum to open her Mum's present first. "Yeah sure," said her Mum as she picked the present out of her pocket and gave it to Ruby. When Ruby saw it she screamed. It wasn't wrapped but she loved it, she opened it and put it on.It was lipstick. Then she looked at her Dad with a confused face. "Well where's the present you're going to give me?" "Come into the lounge then I'll show you." Said her Dad.They both walked into the lounge holding hands and Ruby sat down, she didn't know why he had such a smart look on his face. Then he brought in three rats, and Ruby named them Scabbers, Pijay and Coconut.
Chapter Two
One night she brought her rats into her room to sleep with her. In the night her Mum came and took them to their cage. In the morning she woke up and put on her lipstick. Since her big brother Jonathan, who liked to be called Jon, was in the lounge playing on the computer, she wanted to play hide and seek.So Ruby ran to the lounge and said "Do you want to play hide and seek?" "sure" said Jon, "I'll hide...count to twenty!"After Ruby found Jon she said she didn't want to play any more. "Hey Ruby," Jon said as he turned around to face her. All of a sudden she fell to the ground. "Ruby!" Jon yelled. "Oh my God are you okay?"When Ruby woke up she was in bed and was getting worried, she noticed that she'd had a nightmare and she was very scared. So Ruby tried to find her lipstick so she could remember her birthday and that happy look on her face when she put it on for the first time. When she couldn't find her lipstick, she started to panic. She wasn't sure what was wrong and didn't know what was happening. She was in dispair and felt like dying, so she tried to stop breathing. When she woke up she noticed she was still counting and standing in her closet. So that meant that she was daydreaming, her lipstick had haunted her.
Chapter Three
She ran to her room and tried to find her lipstick when she did she ran downstairs and asked how much the lipstick was. "It was twenty three dollars." She went to see the haunted numbers dictionary, and there they were, the numbers twenty three. So Ruby got out a pocket knife and she chopped of all the tiny bits of lipstick from the lipstick holder and threw it in the bin and told her Mum about the daydream. Her Mum suddenly said "I got that lipstick from the haunted genies magician".
